Daily Life Ltd is the disability-led organisation and registered charity
with a Board of Trustees through which Bobby Baker produces her work.
It aims to explore, investigate, pose questions and debates, entertain,
inspire and celebrate daily life and its limitations by making artworks
alongside like-minded people. It aims, in a limited way, to reach as
wide an audience in this world as possible and thus, in a limited way,
to change the course of history.
In 1993 following a number of years of campaigning Bobby Baker was awarded
a regular funding agreement from Arts Council England. This award allowed
for some ongoing research and development and administration by Artsadmin
on behalf of the Company including the legal formation of Daily Life
Ltd. Daily Life Ltd now benefits from additional research and development
time for Bobby Baker and a range of administrative support, expertise
and skill from Artsadmin beyond its core funding including two members
of staff based within Artsadmin offices. Daily Life Ltd also has a Board
of Trustees who meet quarterly to provide management and overview of
the Company.
ARTSADMIN
Bobby Baker's work has been produced and managed by Artsadmin since 1990.
Artsadmin is a unique producing and presenting organisation for
contemporary artists working in theatre, dance, live art, visual arts and
mixed media. Based at Toynbee Studios, Artsadmin has developed a creative
environment for artists and arts professionals, with a 280-seat theatre,
five rehearsal spaces, over 20 office / rehearsal spaces and the Arts Bar
& Café. Artsadmin also offers various support services for artists,
including a free advisory service, mentoring and development programmes
and a number of bursary schemes.
